Lisey’s Story by Stephen King

15Oct06

Synopsis:
While preparing to pack up her deceased author husband’s things, Lisey must call upon the ghosts of the past and the powers of another world to fight a crazed killer.

Review:
This is King in his wordy, metaphysical mode. It’s a great meditation on grief and on marriage, but the picaresque plot is basically about Lisey remembering things. The result is that there isn’t a strong sense of suspense or danger.
